Injured eaglet recovering after 60 foot fall

A baby bald eagle is recovering after falling 60 feet from its nest near Jordan Lake.

The eaglet is receiving treatment for dehydration and a foot injury at the Carolina Raptor Center in Mecklenburg County.

The eaglet and its sibling, who died in the fall, were superstars in the Triangle. Many watched their nest through a webcam since their birth.

The Carolina Raptor Center has set up a website for the public to check on the eaglet's medical health and donate to help with medical costs.
