Groundhog Day
I'll admit that I like the cold weather, but I'm guessing a few of you are hoping for an early spring.
We'll find out what we get on Tuesday (or at least what a groundhog tells us to expect). The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences will celebrate Groundhog Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday with educational weather-related activities and a special program about weather folklore.
At noon, you can find out if Sir Walter Wally, the groundhog, sees his shadow or not.
Many of the Triangle's Barnes & Noble bookstores also will be holding some special storytimes on Tuesday. Click here to find out if there will be one at a location near you.
Staying at home for the big day? Check out the official Punxsutawney Groundhog Club website. You'll find some cute activities and a coloring page.
