Goldsboro police investigate infant's death
Diamond Smith died Friday afternoon in the pediatric intensive care unit at Pitt Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, two days after she was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital with fractured ribs and bleeding on the brain, police said.
Police are investigating the death of a 6-month-old girl last week.
