Girls Soccer Rankings: Millbrook makes major move into the top 10

The biggest mover in the HighSchoolOT statewide top 25 girls soccer rankings is Millbrook. The Wildcats went from unranked to No. 6 after wins over Cardinal Gibbons and Hough.

They are one of three new teams in this week's statewide top 25: Heritage and Western Alamance are the other two. They replace Wheatmore, which plummeted from top-10 to out after an 8-1 loss to Northwest Guilford, as well as Asheville and T.C. Roberson.

Rankings reminders:

• Rankings are updated weekly and released on every Monday
• All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
• There is a separate top 15 for the state's six area codes that is also updated weekly
• Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
• Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
