Despite only a few games being played last week, the HighSchoolOT girls lacrosse rankings are getting perhaps the biggest overhaul of the season to date.

Five new teams enter this week's rankings: Middle Creek, Willow Spring, Fuquay-Varina, Durham Academy, and Charlotte Christian. They enter at spots 21-25, replacing last week's 21-25 teams of West Forsyth, Asheville School, Northwest Guilford, Cannon School, and Forsyth Country Day.

Rankings reminders:

  • Rankings are updated weekly and released on every Sunday
  • All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
  • Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
  • Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
