Fayetteville police investigate home invasion

Fayetteville police were investigating an apparent home invasion Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a couple in their 70s was attacked in their home at 220 Summer Hill Court. The attack was reported at about 1:15 p.m. Both victims were taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with cuts to their necks, police said.

No arrests had been made and police had not released a description of a potential suspect or suspects. They did say they had found a vehicle that they believed was linked to the crime.
