Alison Meek Baker and her family have created sand sculptures on Ocean Isle Beach each year for more than 20 years.
Baker said that her father started this tradition with her, and she's carried it on to her children. Even though they are older, they still love creating sand sculptures each year, she wrote on Facebook.
This year, the Baker family crafted a massive octopus sculpture.
Last year's was a 14-foot long crab!
You can find the sculptures during the summer on the west end of Ocean Isle Beach, near the Windjammer condos.
