Extra Effort: Inscoe Twins bring competitive edge to Cleveland High School

More times than not, we hand out the Tom Suiter Extra Effort award to just one high schooler each week. We're making an exception for a pair of Cleveland High School Football players.

One brother plays offense.

"Camdon Inscoe, I play wide receiver."

One brother plays defense

"Landon Inscoe, strong safety"

The Inscoe twins have been playing football with and against each other since they were young.

"I always played wide receiver, I liked to catch the ball, I was always a little more coordinated than everybody else," Camdon said.

"He always wanted to be the pretty guy that scored touchdowns and I wanted to hit somebody," Landon added.

Things can get a little competitive, with both arguing they beat the other in one-on-one drills. What does coach Scott Riley think?

"They both have their moments, so we'll just call it a draw to keep the peace."

That competitive nature translates to the classroom. Ashley Strickland teaches history at Cleveland High School and had both twins in her class. She used it as a motivational tool.

"Camdon or Landon the other twin did this, so you're going to have to step up your game."

Not that the twins needed much motivation. Both have higher than a 4.0 GPA and both are leaders on the football field and in the community.

"They are, what I would say, is the true definition of what a student-athlete should be," Strickland said.

"It starts as being a servant to others, they're willing to help other people out, give them tips on how to be a better player, how to be better in the classroom, looking after guys and make sure they're on time to class and all those kind of things. You're willing to serve your teammates, that's what leadership is," Riley added.

And that's why Camdon and Landon Inscoe are this week's winners of the Tom Suiter Extra Effort Award.
