Sneak Peek: Mantra Indian Cuisine to open this week
I must admit, I have never had a proper Indian meal but I can now tell you with absolute certainty, I am a huge fan!
Last week I was fortunate enough to sample a large portion of Chef Gamer Rawat's new menu at Mantra Indian Cuisine.
Wow.
I must admit, I have never had a proper Indian meal but I can now tell you with absolute certainty, I am a huge fan!
We started with mango lassis, a traditional yougurt-based smoothie drink, and worked our way through a chutney salad, tandoori chicken, 2 more chicken dishes, a black lentil-based vegetarian dish (Daal Mantra - my favorite) and finished with a pistachio ice cream dessert.
They could've sold me a bed on the spot.
Chef Rawat exceeded all expectations and I highly recommend giving Mantra a shot. Mantra opens this week at 116 N. West St. in the space previously occupied by Blue Martini.
