ECU first to offer Northeast Guilford's Jacen Hester

The class of 2026 athlete is a two-time all-conference selection.

East Carolina University has made a verbal scholarship offer to Northeast Guilford rising junior Jacen Hester. It is the first offer that Hester has received.

The class of 2026 prospect is listed at six feet tall and 170 pounds. He is a two-time all-conference selection in the Mid-State 3A Conference.

Hester plays outside linebacker and wide receiver at Northeast Guilford.

According to Northeast Guilford's MaxPreps page, Hester was credited with 36 tackles, five tackles for a loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble over eight games during the 2023 season.

The Rams finished with a 7-4 overall record during Hester's sophomore campaign.

Northeast Guilford recently hired Antwon Stevenson to be its next head coach. Stevenson is a successful coach from Glenn High School in Forysth County.
