Durham teen shot in head
A 16-year-old girl was standing outside at 8 Atka Court when a bullet struck her in the head late Saturday, Durham police said.
A bullet struck a 16-year-old girl in the head during a shooting in an apartment complex off Wake Forest Highway Saturday night, police said.
Investigators said the girl was standing outside at 8 Atka Court around 11:30 p.m. when someone fired a gun from inside the complex and a bullet struck her. She was being treated for serious injuries at Duke Hospital Sunday.
Police said they were searching for a dark-colored SUV in connection with the shooting.
