Durham police said Friday that they are looking for a man who robbed a Shell convenience store last week.

Investigators said he placed an order at the walk-up window of the Dog House, 921 N. Miami Blvd., at around 7:45 p.m. on July 14, and then pointed an object that police believe might have been a gun at the cashier.

He demanded money and told the cashier to lie on the ground before fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash, investigators said.

He is described as being black, in his late 30s or 40s, standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, a dark blue ball cap and khaki shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4281, ext. 29123, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
