Dreamville Festival hosted more than 104,000 guests at Dix Park over the weekend, setting a new record for the park, festival organizers announced Tuesday.

An estimated 52,000 people attended each day of Dreamville Festival, with fans from all 50 states and representing more than 20 countries.

Dreamville Festival is a hip hop music festival created by Fayetteville native and rapper J. Cole. The festival is named after Cole's label, Dreamville Records.

As with previous year's, Cole closed out the festival Sunday night with a performance in front of a replica of Fayetteville's iconic Market House.

During the set, Cole took time to address ongoing tension he has had with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

"The world wants to see blood," Cole said. "But going at it like that just doesn't sit right with me. It's messing with my inner peace."

He then expressed respect for Kendrick and played a song he says keeps him grounded and humble, 'Love Yourz'."

In addition to Cole, this year's Dreamville Festival headliners included Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent and SZA.

Sunday was not without issues at the festival, with Minaj hitting the stage late and rapper Rema cutting his set short due to sound problems.
