The Dillard's store in Cary Towne Center will be closing in the next few months, according to a notice submitted to the State of North Carolina.

An article from Triangle Business Journal on Friday indicates that the Dillard's notice was submitted to the state on July 12 and that Dillard's “will cease its operation and be closed in its entirety.” The article also mentions that they will be closing sometime by November 7, 2019.

Julie Bull, Director of Investor Relations at Dillards, Inc., shared the following in an e-mail to WRAL: "Confirming the closure of our Cary location and pleased to add that our Cary associates will be offered positions in neighboring Dillard’s locations as operations wind down at Cary. Our merchandise at the Cary location will be marked down for clearance and offered at discounted prices as we exit the location."

Cary Towne Center, where Dillard's is located, was sold back in January 2019. Turnbridge Equities and Denali Properties bought the property from previous owner CBL & Associates Properties with plans to potentially turn it in to a mixed use development.

"We’re excited to be a part of the Cary community and the greater Research Triangle," Turnbridge managing director Jason Davis said in a statement. "We are committed to working with local leaders on a shared vision to reinvigorate Cary Towne Center and ensure it again becomes a dynamic place with a strong sense of community pride."
