Death being investigated as a homicide in Fayetteville

Fayetteville police say they are investigating the death of a 21-year-old man as a homicide. 

Police were called to the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center around 3:30 p.m. Saturday after a man arrived at the hospital with gun shot wounds. 

The man, Daniel Cortez Morrison of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

No further information was immediately released.
