Firefighters battled flames at a home in Lenoir County on Saturday morning.
Units from Kinston Department of Fire & Rescue, North Lenoir Fire & Rescue and Lenoir County Emergency Services were on the scene around 7:20 a.m.

They received a call reporting smoke coming from a home on the 700 block of W. Washington St. in Kinston.
Fire department personnel arrived on scene to find active fire conditions.
Crews were still working to bring the fire under control after several hours. W. Washington Avenue and Dewey Street were closed to all traffic until further notice.
