Weather postpones some Friday night football games
Friday night high school football games could be in jeopardy on Friday night.
Parts of the HighSchoolOT.com coverage area, including Wake, Durham, Chatham and Orange Counties, are under a Flash Flood Watch until midnight Friday.
"We're going to have more than just a little rain in some places," WRAL Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said. "We could see 1-2 inches of rain and we've had rain on and off over the last several days. The area is primed for some potential flooding later in the day."
According to forecasts, there could widespread rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches across the area.
Chances of rain will continue through next Tuesday.
High school football games are scheduled to be held across the area on Friday night, but those games could be postponed due to the inclement weather.
Football Friday is still slated to air at 11:35 p.m., tonight on WRAL-TV.
The 620 The Buzz broadcast of the Cary-Middle Creek game has been postponed with the game. It will be aired live on Monday at 6:55 p.m., on 620 The Buzz. HighSchoolOT Gamenight will still air at 7 p.m., Friday night on 620 The Buzz. All radio broadcasts will be streamed live on HighSchoolOT.com.
