Now that we're officially in consignment sale season, I'll be doing these weekly reminders of the sales.

This week, The 2nd Look Boutique's Cary sale opens to the public Monday. Hours are 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday. Some items are half off on Saturday. Find the sale at MacGregor Village, 107 Edinburgh S Dr. Suite 101, in Cary.

In addition to deals on clothes, toys, gear and other items for kids, you'll also find a collection of Melissa & Doug products for up to 25 percent off retail. For details, check the sale's website.

And we also have the long-running First United Methodist Church of Cary's consignment sale. Proceeds from the sale, now in its 21st year, go to organizations to help the needy. They've included the Raleigh Rescue Mission, Dorcas Ministries, Operation Christmas Child, Zoe Ministry, Read and Feed and many more.

To help raise more money, the sale offers special shopping hours for a $5 donation to a local family in need. It's from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday. No donation is required to shop from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday.

Shopping hours also are 8 a.m. to 11 .m., Saturday, when some items will be marked half off.

For all the details, check the sale's website. It takes place at the church at 117 S. Academy St. in downtown Cary.
