Community comes together to remember loved ones

Harnett Central High School students and graduates visited the site of a Nov. 10, 2013, crash that killed a student and two graduates and injured two other students.

A community is coming together to honor those who were lost in a tragic accident.  

Shane Mitchell Garner, 23, Austin Stewart Ferrell, 20, and Casey Dell Edens, 16, were killed last month in a wreck on Neills Creek Road near Buies Creek. 

Autumn Ashlyn Zimmer, 17, and Marina Troyano, 17, both juniors at Harnett Central High survived the crash. 

The Forever in our Hearts benefit will event is a full day of activities, including motocross, face painting, raffles, a bake sale and carriage rides. 

The benefit will be held Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hog Heaven Motocross in Godwin. 

All proceeds will go to the victims' families.
