A car fire expanded to a church in Wilmington Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024.
In a Facebook post, the Wilmington Fire Department shared it happened at the Apostolic Tabernacle Church off of Wellington Avenue.

The car was under the canopy of the church when it caught on fire. The fire then spread to the attic of the church.
Both Wilmington and New Hanover Fire Crews worked on the scene to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported, and the fire has been ruled accidental.
