The Lake Norman Charter Knights compete against the Northwood Chargers in the 1A/2A/3A boys lacrosse state championship in Durham on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Lake Norman Charter won the championship 19-8.

Rainy weather kept some boys lacrosse teams off the field completely last week. However, there were still enough results to bring some changes to the HighSchoolOT statewide.

Apex is the lone newcomer to the top 25. The Cougars replace a Pinecrest team it defeated in the opening week.

The week's biggest results were a win by Christ School over Middle Creek and Cardinal Gibbons over Lake Norman.

Those head-to-head results impacted the top 10, with the Greenies leapfroggin their way to sixth and Gibbons and Catholic moving up as Lake Norman moved from second to fourth. Marvin Ridge and Northwest Guilford picked up losses to other ranked opponents and fell some since the preseason.
