Body Found in Harnett County

Authorities are trying to identify a man whose body was found Wednesday morning by a telephone worker.

An Embarq employee found the body at about 8:30 a.m. in a wooded area off U.S. Highway 401 in the Kipling community north of Lillington, authorities said. The worker was heading to a shed housing some telephone transmission equipment when he made the discovery.

The man might have been homeless and might have died of natural causes, authorities said.
