Best burger in U.S. is at Al's Burger Shack in Chapel Hill
The best burger in America can be found in Chapel Hill, according to a new list released by TripAdvisor.
The list, which analyzed millions of user reviews and rankings found that Al’s Burger Shack’s signature “Bobo Chili Cheeseburger,” which is topped with chili sauce, coleslaw, onion, yellow mustard and American cheese, is the best in the country.
Al and Melody Bowers opened Al’s Burger Shack on Franklin Street in 2013. The couple has since opened locations in Southern Village, Al’s Pub Shack in Chapel Hill and Mel’s Commissary & Catering, which serves as a prep kitchen for the company’s catering needs.
Al’s Burger Shack has previously received “best burger” and “best fries” accolades in Indy Week and Chapel Hill Magazine and a No. 1 burger listing on Yelp.
