Four Beagle puppies are finally safe after being rescued from a dumpster in which they'd been abandoned.

Halifax Dog Squad found the pups in a rough state, rescuing them and delivering them to Triangle Beagle Rescue, who has named the four pups after the PAW Patrol: Sky, Sweetie, Zuma, and Rocky.

According to their post on Facebook, the puppies have scratched and bitten most of their hair off. They're full of sores, and one pup is most likely blind.

"It is clear they have not had an easy life up to this point," said the post. "But that all changed today."

The pups are being seen by a veterinarian and "on their way to new pampered lives" according to Triangle Beagle Rescue, who is asking people to become part of these pups' transformation journey by donating to their vet care.

Donation information can be found on Triangle Beagle Rescue Facebook page.
