Authorities investigating crash, possible road rage incident on I-40 in Garner
It is unclear what led to the crash, but authorities said one of the vehicles involved was shot.
Crash involving motorcycle and car with bullet holes possibly related to road rage
State Highway Patrol and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office are investigating a crash Saturday night that also had a shooting.
According to the Garner Police Department, which initially investigated the crash, the crash involved a car and a motorcycle and happened on I-40 Westbound near U.S. 70 towards Garner.
Police said the car was struck by bullets, but they did not say if the motorcyclist, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, did the shooting.
Johnston Co. deputies are investigating the shooting and possible road rage, while Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
