At the Fair: Pick up child ID tags at information booths

Just a little tip in case you weren't aware and are headed to the N.C. State Fair before it closes out on Sunday ...

You can pick up identification stickers at the fair's information booths for your kids. The stickers include spaces to list a child's name, age, emergency contact name and phone number. Information booths are scattered around the fairgrounds. I picked up a sticker at the booth near the Village of Yesteryear.

This could certainly come in handy if you get separated from your child at the fair.

In an earlier post, a couple of Go Ask Mom readers also shared what they do in case their kids get lost at the fair: 

"... We always made a small card and laminated it which had our names and cell [numbers] on them. We put the card either in their pocket or shoe and told them if they got lost to talk to a police officer or a mom/grandma and show them their card. They never had to use it, but they felt better having it and so did we."

And another ... 

"I also take a picture of my kids after we get out of the car. If we get separated, I have a photo and know exactly what they are wearing. I have done this every year, and still do it even though my boys are 10 and 12. (Too many wierdos out there!)"
