Newlyweds: We Want Wedding Photos

Weddings can be expensive, especially the photography. So when several couples didn’t receive their pictures, they called WRAL’s 5 on Your Side.

The Connors was one of the couples who had complaints about a Cary business, Mark Fowler Photography.

“They had done such a good job with our engagement pictures, you know, we thought they were gonna follow through well with the wedding,” said Ramsey Connor.

Ramsey and his wife, Adrienne, were married last August, but they still don’t have their wedding album, they said.

When their engagement photos turned out so well, they went ahead and paid Fowler all of his nearly $2,800 fee. When they returned from their honeymoon, Fowler gave them about 450 proofs to choose from, they said.

“We were like, ‘Oh my gosh. They got that shot. I can’t believe it.’ You know, we were just overjoyed and excited,” Ramsey said.

The Connors placed their order in October. Soon after, Fowler sent three CDs confirming what the albums would include, they said. But months passed and the albums never arrived, despite the Connor's repeated calls and e-mails, they said.

The couple later went to Fowler's studio, but he wasn't there. In July, Fowler's son, Brian, told the Connor's they "understand 100 percent that you are upset" and they were "trying to finish the job as quickly as we can.”

When 5 on Your Side called Brian Fowler, he said his father was sick and the "business was doing pretty bad this year," but they hope to "have the problem resolved very soon."

The Connors should have their albums by Sept. 14, according to Brian Fowler. He also offered additional free prints because of their wait.

As for the two other couples who complained, Brian Fowler said the album for one of them is in the mail and the other couple can pick up their photo CD next Monday.
