RALEIGH, N.C. — Monday will be warm and humid with mostly clear skies, but scattered thunderstorms are predicted for the rest of the work week.

With highs on Monday hovering in the low 90s, the day will be warmer and more humid than Sunday.

Mostly sunny skies could develop into some thunderstorms or showers this evening, starting a pattern that could continue all week.

By Tuesday, temperatures will be cooler, and a 50 percent chance of precipitation enters the viewing area along with a chance for storms.

"We have the chance for some potentially gusty storms as a cold front moves in," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.

Highs will be in the low to mid-80s Tuesday before resurfacing to the high 80s and low 90s Wednesday.

Those temperatures, along with partly sunny skies and the chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms, will continue all week.
