Still have solar eclipse glasses? N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is collecting them for international project
The glasses collected at the Raleigh museum will be sent to school kids in South America and Asia, so that they can safely view the next solar eclipses in 2019.
Posted — UpdatedThe N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh is collecting eclipse glasses now through Oct. 1 for Astronomers Without Borders.
The glasses collected at the Raleigh museum will be sent to school kids in South America and Asia, so that they can safely view the next solar eclipses in 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity to make it possible for kids in other countries to experience something that so many of us enjoyed last month when a total solar eclipse swept through the United States.
To donate your glasses, just bring them to the museum's stores by Oct. 1. The museum is at 11 West Jones St., Raleigh
