Raleigh, N.C. — Storms are likely south of the Triangle on Friday as a cold front slips toward South Carolina.
The same front pushed into the state Thursday, bringing sporadic storms to the Triangle and reports of hail and wind damage in some spots.
"We still have the potential for thunderstorms and showers along this front," WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said. "Anything that happens today is going to be down south."
As the cold front departs, drier air will settle in - a welcomed change from the high humid of the last few days.
Highs Friday will be in the mid-80s around the region.
