Stedman man sought in Fayetteville bank robbery

Fayetteville police on Friday were searching for a 33-year-old Stedman man wanted in connection with robbing a Carter Bank & Trust branch on Dec. 2.

Fayetteville police on Friday were searching for a 33-year-old Stedman man wanted in connection with robbing a Carter Bank & Trust branch on Dec. 2.

Gregory Allen Davis, of 825 Network Drive, is charged with common law robbery and conspiracy.

According to investigators, Davis and another man entered the bank at about 4 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Authorities said Davis and the man fled the bank in an SUV with an undetermined amount of money.

The man with Davis was described as 45 to 55 years old with shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a black baseball hat and camouflage jacket, authorities said.
