Emily McCall, the mom behind the new Stay & Play Snack Cafe, tells me that she's finally found a space for her business.

McCall said the cafe, which will cater to young children and their adults, will be at 405A E. Chapel Hill St., in downtown Durham, next door to Rue Cler.

The cafe will feature lots of toys for kids, along with comfortable seating for their parents, and snacks and drinks for all. Check the box above for earlier posts about McCall's concept, which is popular in other parts of the country. She raised more than $17,000 for the business earlier this year through Kickstarter.com.

"I think it will be a great spot because it's right across the street from a parking garage, and it's a nice layout inside," McCall wrote me in an email. "Also, it already has a lot of the kitchen equipment we'll need so the buildout should be pretty fast."

She was busy working on her toy list over the weekend.

McCall tells me she hopes to have a grand opening celebration in January. So stay tuned!
