FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — One area gas station has stopped selling mid-grade and premium fuel because prices have outpaced its pumps.

The Express Mart on Main Street in Fuquay-Varina has older-model pumps – some won't register more than $2.99 a gallon, and most won't go over $3.99, a manager said.

The manager said he has ordered equipment to change the prices, but the station will have to stop selling gas altogether if regular gas tops $4 a gallon before the equipment arrives.
