A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a wreck with another car early Wednesday on Covered Bridge Road in Clayton.

— A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a wreck with another car early Wednesday on Covered Bridge Road in Clayton.

The wreck happened in the 8500 block of the rural road, near Buffalo Road, at about 7:30 a.m. The cause of the wreck is unclear, but authorities said no injuries were reported.

    Just from the lack of information in this article leads me to believe the trooper was at fault. Just saying..

    If that's the case, you can almost guarantee that they'll blame the civilian for failing to yield within a split second.

    That's an interesting picture. Looks like the trooper might have been on the side of the road, pulled out in front of the Nissan.
