There is no reason for this to happen. People need to PAY ATTENTION when they drive. Hoping for a speedy recovery. The NCSHP has had it rough this past week.

I certainly DO appreciate the job the good LEOs do and I'm hoping this trooper recovers fully and quickly.

I however WILL NOT condone nor accept the bad apples and their bad deeds.

jesmyopinion: "...I hope everyone appreciates their work (I guess the only ones who do not are the criminals)."
It is a shame that that statement is completely false. A minority of people appreciate the work of Troopers and other law enforcement officers. A majority of people do not. Next time a story is posted about a bad apple in any law enforcement agency (especially the highway patrol) see how many comments are made. Hundreds of people will comment about how they think they are men with big heads, or criticize them any way they can.
A Trooper is being buried today and another is in critical condition fighting for his life. Both were trying to protect the citizens of NC. There are 4 comments at this time and I guarantee there will not be many more.
I am one of the minorities. I am praying for this trooper and his family. I am praying for the family of the trooper who is being buried today. And I appreciate the work all law enforcement agencies do.

I hope the Trooper is OK. They have a dangerous and often thankless job.

Such a dangerous job these and other law enforcement Officers have - for not much money. I hope everyone appreciates their work (I guess the only ones who do not are the criminals). Hopefully this particular Officer will end up being OK.
