State Treasurer Dale Folwell
State Treasurer Dale Folwell heads the agency that keeps and eye on North Carolina's borrowing and state health plan.

Republican Dale Folwell took over as state treasurer in 2017.
A former state lawmaker, Folwell had served as the head of North Carolina's unemployment insurance agency under Gov. Pat McCrory.
Folwell, a CPA, is a former local school board member who served four terms in the state House, starting in 2005. In his last term, Folwell served as speaker pro tem.
In addition to serving in state government, Folwell is known for racing motorcycles to raise awareness of organ donation in memory of his 7-year-old son.
