I'm a history buff who, as a kid, once dreamed of working as an interpreter, all dressed up in old-timey garb, at an historic site.
And now my older daughter also enjoys learning about how people lived and celebrated years ago. So we always make it to some Christmas celebrations at local historic sites. I list many of the activities in my Weekend Plans posts on Wednesday nights. You can also find events listed on WRAL.com's Holiday Guide.
But, I thought I'd point out the that N.C. Department of Cultural Resources' blog has a special post on holiday events for kids.
Click here to read it all and see a full listing of holiday events at historic sites across North Carolina.
