RALEIGH, N.C. — N.C. State's Howling Cow ice cream has a new flavor for the N.C. State Fair this year - Lemon Wafer.
The flavor leans more toward vanilla with just a hint of lemon. It's light and airy and capture the wafer flavor without knocking you out with sugar.
Overall, I loved it as an alternative to the deep-fried desserts available at the fair.
Make sure to stop by their red barn located a few steps from the grandstand.
