State Fair offers group ticket deal for adults, kids

The N.C. State Fair is offering group ticket deals for both adults and kids this year.

Any group of 40 or more people can save some money by taking advantage of the group ticket discount. 

Here's the deal: Purchase 40 or more adult tickets in advance of the fair at the same time and get each ticket for $5 each. That's $4 per ticket off the gate price of $9. 

For kids, purchase 40 or more children's tickets in advance of the fair and get each ticket for $2. That's a $2 savings off the gate price of $4.

You can buy the group tickets either online or at advance sales locations. You must buy them by Oct. 16. And adult and child tickets can't be combined.

State Fair fans also know you can get in free (or for the price of a few cans of food) on Food Lion Hunger Relief Day. This year, it's Oct. 23. Exchange five cans of Food Lion canned food products for one free admission ticket.

The fair is Oct. 16 to Oct. 26 in Raleigh.
