State donates land to art museum foundation

The Council of State voted Tuesday to transfer 35 acres of state-owned property at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Wade Avenue to the North Carolina Museum of Art Foundation.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Council of State voted Tuesday to transfer 35 acres of state-owned property at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Wade Avenue to the North Carolina Museum of Art Foundation.

The deal is considered a gift to the museum.

The foundation plans to develop the land and use the resulting revenue to support the N.C. Museum of Art.
