State begins crackdown on speeders

A two-week campaign called Operation Slow Down begins Monday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. State Highway Patrol is targeting speeders on major highways. A two-week campaign called Operation Slow Down begins Monday.

Troopers on motorcycles, in unmarked cars and in helicopters will be cracking down on those who exceed the speed limit on highways across the state.
