State agencies report email, phone outages

— Multiple state agencies reported widespread service outages throughout the day Tuesday that affected phone and email systems.

A news release from Gov. Pat McCrory's office Tuesday afternoon said workers at the state Office of Information Technology were working to restore service, which had been intermittent all day.

    Someone should look at the ESC building. That place is in horrible shape. They keep throwing money at it, and the more they do, the more it needs. Everyone cries, oh, it is a historical building. Yeah, with mold, mildew and rats that would scare the Tigers at the zoo.

    You should care. The infrastructure of the State Government and its buildings - yes buildings - are on the verge of collapse due to decades of neglect. Spending taxpayer money to upkeep infrastructure is not popular so it doesn't happen. Now the State is in a crisis. I was at a forum where Pat McCrory himself said it's a appoint the Archdale building (the tall white one at the end of the mall) would be cheaper to be torn down and replaced it is in such bad shape.
