Star Wars fan alert: Cameron Village Regional Library in Raleigh is celebrating all things Star Wars during its Star Wars Fest from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., May 1.

They'll screen "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," a PG-rated animated movie, and follow it up with crafts, activities and books featuring your favorite Star Wars characters. This one is designed for all ages.

Registration is requested. Just go to the library's website, click on "events," and scroll to May where you can find the link for the event and sign up.

The library also will have a bunch of Star Wars and science fiction books out for readers to peruse and take home.

UPDATE: It also will be held at other libraries across Wake County. Here's the schedule:

Star Wars Fest will take place at the North Regional Library and West Regional Library in Cary on May 1. It will also take place from noon to 2:30 p.m., May 7, at the East Regional Library in Knightdale, Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex and the system's newest library - Northeast Regional Library in northeast Raleigh.

The system's community libraries also will be hosting Star Wars Super Specials for grade schoolers during the first week of May. Wake library system's website has the details (be sure to go to the individual library site to learn more).
