DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police were seeking the public's help Saturday to identify a man wanted in connection with a robbery reported Friday evening at a State Employees Credit Union.

According to investigators, a man wearing a hat, sunglasses and a blue shirt entered the SECU at 3810 Ben Franklin Boulevard and demanded money. No weapon was seen during the robbery, and the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Two hours earlier, a man wearing a hat, sunglasses and orange or yellow shirt entered First Citizens Bank at 4004 North Roxboro St. and told tellers "this is a stickup." He then told them he was joking and left the bank. He matched the description of the man who later robbed the SECU.

Anyone with information should call Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
