Spring Hope man accused of DWI with child in car, assaulting officer

Raleigh police say a Spring Hope man was driving while impaired with a child in the car Wednesday and kicked an officer in the leg and refused to get in a police cruiser as he was being arrested.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police say a Spring Hope man was driving while impaired with a child in the car Wednesday and kicked an officer in the leg and refused to get in a police cruiser as he was being arrested.

William Neil Lynch, 41, of 10020 Lake Royal Road in Spring Hope, was charged with DWI, assault on a female in connection with a domestic violence case, communicating threats, injury to personal property, misdemeanor child abuse, resisting a public officer and assault on a government official.

He was arrested at 7345 Barberry Court. No other information was released.
