RALEIGH, N.C. — Rain will continue to move out of central and eastern North Carolina Saturday evening, allowing for more pleasant conditions for the final day of the weekend.

"Skies will be clearing overnight and temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 40s," WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said.

Abundant sunshine will push high temperatures back into the upper 60s on Sunday.

"It's going to be a very pleasant end to the weekend," Wilmoth said. "Sunday will be a little breezy. We could see wind gusts up to 25 mph at times."

Sunday night will remain clear as temperatures retreat into the upper 30s.

The first part of the workweek will remain warm and dry with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
