99.9 FM The Fan reaches deal to get NFL, other top sports programming

The Fan will carry NFL games, including the Super Bowl, in an exclusive deal with Westwood One.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The radio station 99.9 FM The Fan will provide exclusive sports content in the Raleigh-Durham market through Westwood One.

The Fan will carry live NFL games on Thursdays and Mondays and a double-header on Sunday. The Fan will also carry the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl.

The deal with Westwood One gives the station exclusive live national college football games and live national college basketball games culminating with March Madness, The Masters and various other top-notch sports programming.

The Fan is owned by Capitol Broadcasting Co.

"Our listener base is growing by the day and now they know they can find the best sports play-by-play in the market on 99.9FM The Fan. It speaks to our progress in attracting the Triangle's sports listeners that someone as prestigious as Westwood One would look to The Fan for this exclusive relationship."
