Travis Wear, David Wear and Mason Plumlee will play on the U.S. team.

Two North Carolina recruits and one who is headed to Duke will be on the USA U18 National Team, according to USA Basketball.

UNC prospects on the team are David Wear and Travis Wear of Santa Ana, Calif. Joining them on the squad will be Duke recruit Mason Plumlee of Christ High School in Arden, N.C.

The team also includes Ryan Kelly of Ravenscroft High in Raleigh.

The 12-member squad will look to defend the country’s gold medal at the 2007 FIBA Americas U18 Championship July 14-18 in Formosa, Argentina.
