Thaddeus Lewis and Leon Wright were cited by Chapel Hill police.

Thaddeus Lewis, Duke’s starting quarterback, and cornerback Leon Wright were cited for underage possession of alcohol Wednesday night on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, according to Chapel Hill police.

Lewis, 20, and Wright, also 20, were cited at 1:51 a.m. Wednesday. Lewis is a rising junior from Opa-locka, Fla. Wright is a rising junior from St. Petersburg, Fla.

A Duke official said new football coach David Cutcliffe did not plan to comment on the incident and would handle the matter internally.
