CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina junior linebacker Wesley Flagg has been dismissed from the team for violating team policies. A UNC official confirmed the information on Friday afternoon.
The Fayetteville, N.C. product earned the starting spot at middle linebacker during training camp last fall, but had lost that position by the fourth game against South Florida. Flagg tallied 23 tackles and one tackle for loss during 2007, after making nine tackles -- primarily on special teams -- during his freshman season in 2006.
